Picnic with Nanna Scholz
Here we all are on Nanna's last day in Queensland. It was probably the coldest day that she was here and we decided to have a picnic. The BBQ took 2 hours to cook...........and Jazz couldn't handle the fact that we wanted the vegies and meat well-cooked (she's Chinese). Ben enjoyed himself...........drove his car there with Anisia as the licensed driver, and they all arrived!!!. Jordy came along as the proxy child......good value!!!Very yummy apricot slice and brownies. What will we do when Nanna goes home???????
Anisia and Anne at Chiang-Mai-Thai
I'm just learning how to put photos on here all by myself, now aren't I just so technologically advanced for an old person??????????????? Trouble is I can't remember what the pic is of ?????????? There were only numbers and I wrote a heap down so just inserted one of them...... Well there you go...it's another one at Chiang-Mai-Thai from Anisia's birthday August 8th - 24 years old.
August/September 2005
SO.......what have we been up to??
Nanna Scholz came to stay for 3 weeks in August, doing lots of wonderful stuff. She painted our bedroom in 3 very different colours, all matching the beautiful patch work quilt that she has made us.
We took her for a Tepanyaki experience at Shogun and twice for a Thai feast at Chiang-Mai-Thai (see the pics there). Other then that she oiled our outdoor setting, sewed, covered coathangers, cooked biscuits, roly-poly and yummy desserts, we all have to go on a diet now that she's gone!!!
Anne applied for a job at Assisi Catholic College, the first time that she has had to address selection criteria. There were four criteria and four pages later, and many many hours at it, it proved to be one of the most difficult things she has done. We went for a drive to look at the College today (at Upper Coomera) and drop of the application. It's a very new school; only opened this year. It faces another new school, Coomera Anglican College; it's a rapidly developing area. You take the exit after Dreamworld to get there. So we'll see what God has in store for me on that front.....am I meant to be a clinical psych working in a school as a Guidance Counsellor?????
our Ellie is now in Michigan....so much on the news re the USA with the Hurricane Katrina disaster enveloping New Orleans and Mississippi with water; many lives lost, making it look reminiscent of the tsunami only after Christmas 2004. Anisia now has under 12 weeks before she leaves to join Ellie on a jaunt around the world. Wow what an adventure. She is very busy at uni completing her Masters in OT; lots for her to pack in to these last weeks, but after 7 years of study she's almost there. She went with Daniel & Nishan to see Willie Wonka (spelling?) tonight.
Anne is looking forward to completing her LAST 2 subjects; uni is now into week 7 of 13 weeks....then it's goodbye classes forever. She is tutoring Individual and Social Psychology (3 classes) and enjoying the new experience. Anne starts her very last placement at Tweed Hospital inpatient Psych unit (25 beds) on the 14th September. Will be a very new and different experience. WOW......her six years of study is nearing the end...at then end of the year she can apply for full registration......a goal that she has been aspiring toward.
Our secret news is that we are having a baby!!!!!!! To be updated shortly........................
Yup that's all for now.........
