What do you think?

Kevin and I along with students Caro and Bing spent yesterday up in Brisbane with Anisia. We left after church, had a quick lunch at Anisia's apartment, then on and off the City Cat to the Riverside markets and across to South Bank. Do you like our caricatures????? Who do you reckon Kevin looks like? The scene is reminiscent of the day Kevin played golf in Coffs Harbour, where I saw a koala run acros the golf course and immediately forgot Kevin playing golf and took off in the buggy chasing the koala for a photo. In my picture, we told the guy (Joseph) that I enjoyed cooking!!!!!!
So this was the result..............
After our river rides, we settled in for a game of Carcasonne, then an Idol dinner and wait for it..... very yummy Korean BBQ compliments of Anisia (well done Neish) and chocolate fondue to follow. Very full tummys indeed. Posted by Picasa
....and we got Caro's picture done for her to take back to Germany as a souvenir.........waving the German flag, riding a kangaroo past the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. She will be visiting Sydney just prior to leaving Australia in December. Posted by Picasa

Life is a bit dull today....Kevin is really unwell with some dreadful bug. He even took some Nurofen which is the sign that he is not well. So I'm organising our trivia night on the computer, made a chocolate cake and some chicken Laksa for dinner and our gathering for Australian Idol again tonight.Sam and Selina are bringing Peking Duck, and I'm also doing honey chili chicken. It doesn't seem a week ago that we were in Sydney recovering from the wedding. I see Sydney was 16 degrees c.f. 38 last Saturday. It's cooler here today and very windy.......might get to read some of my new book thanks to Cathy Lambert.....if you are relating to some of the feelings I've been warbling on about try and find a book called "Navigating Midlife" by Robyn Vickers-Willis; based on some of her own experiences....she's a psychologist and uses a fair amount of Jungian psychology, but easy to relate to. And now we have some legal rainwater!!!!!! Kevin has successfully connected the tank to the downpipes at a minimal cost c.f. what others would have charged.......and we have almost a tankfull thanks to last night's Indy Downpour (it always rains for Indy!) So the sign is UP and I can gleefully water all day with my hose; can even wash the car and hose down the driveway if I want to! Posted by Picasa
In spite of water restrictions and a tad of late night watering, pruning back a lot of the garden has paid dividends.... remember hacking away and cutting these back to nothing Neish.....I think you were worried they would be gone forever. Posted by Picasa
