A special place
This is a very special place in my childhood memories. It's the old shearing shed that belonged to my Grandma and Grandpa in Lowbank, South Australia. Their home overlooked the beautiful River Murray and we spent many holidays on their farm, watching cows being milked, sheep being shorn, collecting eggs from the 'chooks', playing in the hay in the barns, exploring the river cliffs, being reprimanded by Grandma who was renowned for her strict discipline, playing in their Post Office, playing on the swing near the fig tree, helping Maureen nurture the joey kangaroos, eating the grapes and passionfruit from the garden, playing the old gramophone, eating some of grandmas terrible cooking - she made us eat tripe and brawn!!!!. Oh such wonderful memories.....
