I really value your 'warblings', they connect me to you in such a tangible way. I feel similar emotions because we have followed God's calling to the desert this year. The separation from all we hold dear is quite overwhelming at times and as you would have guessed I spent two days crying at the time of Daniel's birthday. I know we are truly blessed to have such a wonderful extended 'family' in our church friends and want to thank you and Kevin for your support. It sounds like the China trip will be wonderful. Yirara have asked us to consider staying on for next year. Big decisions ahead, and we're still not sure where we are called to serve. One thing I do know is 'life wasn't meant to be easy'. Maybe we're being resistant to the 'still, small voice'. The story of Ruth has been so powerful for me this year, being in a strange land and all that goes with it. Love to you all.

Hey Mama,
I'm incredibly jealous of your travel experiences to come, though I can't say I've been unfortunate in that area. See the people, not the sights, eat what they want you to, not what you want to and go where they tell you to, not Lonely Planet. I'm so glad to hear that you and Dad are finally rewarding yourselves with the travel you never had as 20-somethings.
I know you're not going yet, but just got a burst of excitement as I thought about all the wonderful places you'll go and the people you'll meet.
Talk soon,
Love Ellie
